Why do you only work with clients associated with nonprofits?

I’ve worked as an executive assistant with for-profit companies before, and I have found that it is a value of mine to work with organizations and clients that are putting out good work into the world instead of extracting from it. It is one of the main reasons that I require an intro call before agreeing to work with a client - I want to know just as much about the work you are doing as much as you want to know about my work.

Do you only work directly with the client, or do you work with other organization staff as well?

I find that, especially for scheduling, it is really important to keep that line of communication open with staff and board. I do not want you to feel like a middle manager of your own calendar! I prefer working in conjunction with other staff, and learning about them and the work they do as well, as it helps in deciding when a meeting should be taken by my client, or if it makes more sense for one of the other staff to take the call and keep that space open.

Why should I work with you instead of a service with multiple assistants assigned to me?

Honestly, that is the route that I recommend for some people that are looking for an assistant. If you want to have someone you can send small projects to with little interaction or relationship building, I would say working with those services is actually ideal. My services are more for people who would like a personal touch. It’s important to me that you get warm, friendly communication to those you are working with, and by getting to know you as a person and client I will be able to better anticipate your needs and feedback.

What happens when you are on vacation or sick?

Luckily I have a pretty strong immune system, but if I am sick for more than a day, I am grateful to work with fellow virtual assistants who are able to step in and pick up any time sensitive requests. If I am gone for more than a week, the option of the assistant tag team is also available. More details are listed in my standard contract.

What if I need different services/more hours than you offer?

I am connected with some pretty amazing assistants that I would be happy to introduce you to, saving you time and the energy of having to expand your search.

Do you outsource your work, or will you be exclusively working with me?

I take pride in the work that I do, and want to make sure that everything is done to my standards. I do not outsource my work, and every check-in you have will be with me.
